Longevity hotel in Karlovy Vary: the Prezident case
Karlovy Vary is a spa town with 650 years of healing history and the cradle of Europe's longevity movement. At the Luxury Spa & Medical Wellness Hotel Prezident, spa medicine first met Longevity Resort.
The spa town. Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic) is a world-famous spa town with 650 years of history: thermal mineral springs, drinking cures, balneology and terrain trails.
The event. It hosts the Carlsbad Longevity Festival — a festival about health, prevention and keeping vital energy over the long run.
The platform.Longevity Resort: a branded guest portal in the hotel's colours, Garmin watches with its watch face and Longevity programs assembled from the hotel's own treatments — the guest's readings, a day-by-day protocol and the result of the stay in numbers.
The watch apps. The Garmin device app Longevity Prezident — the prescribed walk, the day's events and functional tests right on the wrist; the branded watch face Longevity Prezident Face — heart rate on a dial, the treatment ribbon and the load corridor. Both are published in the official Garmin Connect IQ store.
Longevity routes. 16 walking terrain trails of Karlovy Vary in three categories — flat, slightly rolling and forest — plus four cycling ones. A two-step questionnaire gives a score, one of five risk levels and a heart-rate corridor: the portal prescribes only the routes that match the guest's level and goal, the phone guides along the line by voice offline, and the watch keeps the pulse inside the corridor (how it works). The questionnaires and the route set were carried over from the hotel's earlier site ActiveHealth.
The result. The guest gets a dashboard with sleep, heart rate, treatments and walks in their own language; the hotel gets a staff panel and a new premium product, Longevity Resort: a reason to come, a tool to keep the guest and a way to sell extra services; AI assistants recommend the hotel by themselves.
Karlovy Vary: a spa town that has been healing for 650 years
The town rests on its thermal mineral springs: the hottest one, Vřídlo, reaches 73 °C and shoots up to 12 metres high. Carlsbad medicine grew on these waters: drinking cures, balneology, diet therapy and dosed walking along the terrain trails.
What is treated and restored here is what pills handle poorly: diseases of the digestive tract, the liver, the bile ducts and the pancreas, metabolic disorders — diabetes, gout, excess weight — and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Separate lines of work are recovery after cancer treatment and surgery, and rehabilitation after stress and burnout.
The cradle of longevity in Europe
The spa medicine of Karlovy Vary has always done what is now called longevity — prevention, recovery and the extension of active life. It is no accident that the annual Carlsbad Longevity Festival is held here. Behind the facades of the Carlsbad spa hotels and clinics there is a school, not marketing. For decades the town's doctors watched thousands of patients recover — on balneology and drinking cures, on diet and dosed load. A strict methodology grew out of those observations: what to prescribe, in which order, how to dose the treatments and how to judge the effect of a stay. Modern longevity medicine arrived at the same principles: prevention instead of treatment, protocols instead of one-off procedures, a result measurable in numbers. The town lacked one thing only — a digital layer that would tie a century of medical experience to the numbers of a particular guest.
Hotel Prezident: a century of experience meets data

Luxury Spa & Medical Wellness Hotel Prezident is a spa hotel in the middle of the Karlovy Vary spa district: over 100 wellness treatments and a longevity practice of its own — longevity protocols, immune rehabilitation and an active health program.
This is the hotel where we rolled out the Longevity Resort platform. The treatments, the springs and the trails had always been there — the platform added what was missing: a particular guest's readings, day-by-day protocols and the result of the stay, visible in numbers. We cut the work of taking readings to a minimum and brought artificial intelligence into automating the process.
Longevity Resort programs are built on one thing: visualising the readings the Garmin watch and scale take, and processing them with the Daily Suggested Workouts algorithm, which recalculates the permissible load every 24 hours from heart rate variability, sleep and accumulated stress. On top of that physiology lie decades of observation by Carlsbad doctors — and that is how the protocols that guide a particular guest came about.
Let us introduce ourselves
Left to right: Valeriy Danyuk, Larisa Danyuk, Assoc. Prof. Petr Kolísko and MUDr. Milada Sárová — Luxury Spa & Medical Wellness Hotel Prezident, Karlovy Vary
Graduate of the Polytechnic Institute, majoring in the development and deployment of software for medical equipment.
Assoc. Prof. PaedDr. Petr Kolísko, Ph.D. — a leading Czech specialist in physiotherapy, kinesiology, medical rehabilitation and kinesio taping.
What he works on. Functional disorders of the spine and joints, muscle imbalances, recovery after injury and surgery. He combines modern manual techniques with classic Carlsbad balneotherapy.
Kinesio taping. A pioneer and leading instructor of the method in the Czech Republic and Central Europe, a certified instructor of the international KTAI association.
Science and teaching. A long-standing lecturer at medical and physical education faculties, including Charles University in Prague; he has trained hundreds of physiotherapists, doctors and massage therapists. Author and co-author of scientific papers, textbooks and monographs on physiotherapy, the biomechanics of movement and functional diagnostics, and a regular speaker at international conferences.
MUDr. Milada Sárová is a Czech physician specialising in internal medicine, balneology, physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation.
A recognised expert. One of the leading authorities on spa treatment with mineral waters and on the drinking cures of Karlovy Vary; she has lectured on Carlsbad balneology in more than 20 countries.
Practice. Over decades of work her patients have included world leaders and cultural figures — among them Czech President Václav Havel, Mikhail Gorbachev and the actors Gérard Depardieu and Ben Kingsley.
Garmin data and the DSW algorithm
The guest has almost nothing to do: wear the watch and step on the scale in the morning.
All data goes into the system automatically, over the hotel's Wi-Fi — no smartphone involved.
The system records sleep phases, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), stress level, the Body Battery index, weight and body composition (what exactly the watch measures).
By morning the algorithm folds these streams into a single daily readiness score — from 0 to 100 — and calculates the safe volume of physical load (how the algorithm works).
Expert AI built on evidence-based medicine
The platform's algorithm takes the guest's wellness program into account and leans on two scientific schools.
Kinesiology and physiotherapy (the research of Assoc. Prof. Petr Kolísko): calculating the permissible load and safe recovery after injury or surgery.
Balneology and therapy (the research of MUDr. Milada Sárová): selecting treatments, accounting for contraindications and drawing up the schedule of the mineral water drinking cure.
From these data the AI forms personal recommendations on activity and treatments.

Security and separation of access rights
Access to information is strictly separated at the server level, not merely in the interface.
Reception only handles issuing devices and registering stays.
The doctor works with medical records, tests and prescriptions.
The guest sees nothing but their own dashboard.
An attempt to open someone else's section — even by a direct link — is blocked by the security system.
The Hotel Prezident desk: the portal panel on the monitor — stays, kits and prescriptions×
Registration and handing out the kit at reception
Reception has a section of its own — «Watches» — showing the hotel's whole device fleet: free kits, issued ones (with the return date) and the status of their last sync.
Connecting a guest takes 1 minute:
The receptionist presses the «Assign to guest» button.
One form is filled in: surname and first name, sex, date of birth (for the official medical record), language, height, weight (so heart-rate zones and calories are computed for this body from the first minutes), dominant hand, room number, phone, messenger and consent to data processing.
The kit is activated and tied to the guest.
The hand-out form in the reception panel: one page per screen — name and date of birth, height and weight, room and phone, messenger, stay dates and the signed consent×
Guest sign-in: no apps and no passwords
The guest has nothing to download from an app store and nothing to register again.
The login is the phone number, the password is the room number.
The sign-in link is sent over WhatsApp or Telegram right after registration.
Following the link opens the form already prefilled — all that is left is to confirm.
Reception also generates a QR code that opens the dashboard straight from the phone's camera.
The dashboard works in any mobile browser.

The doctor's workplace
The doctor gets full control over the guest's condition straight from the list of stays.
A transparent interface. An orange bar at the top says whose profile the doctor is in.
The full health picture. Sleep, stress level, Body Battery, blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), respiration rate, body composition and activity — as clear charts from the first day of the stay.
Control over the AI. The doctor can approve, correct or cancel any suggestion of the algorithm right in the day's card.
A direct line. The doctor writes a comment or a plan to the guest inside the system. Decisions the doctor makes train the platform to work more precisely in future.

Many languages, any screen
36 languages. The system is fully translated — including right-to-left scripts (Arabic and Hebrew) and Asian languages (how it works).
Prescriptions translate themselves. The guest picks a language in the dashboard while the doctor writes in their own — the platform's built-in service translates every prescription with no live interpreter involved.
One interface everywhere. The site adapts to any screen — from the guest's smartphone to the wide monitor in the doctor's office.

Longevity Resort — the platform that sells your hotel's extras to every guest by itself
A guest buys a result, not a list of treatments — and the platform shows that result every day. It offers the hotel's paid items not at random but by the guest's readings today: how many of them fit into a day follows the chosen budget — 2 in standard, 3 in comfort, 4 in premium, which is a ready reason to offer the tier above. There are fewer empty slots in the treatment rooms: a treatment dropped because of stress is swapped for a gentle one of the same family instead of leaving a hole in the schedule.
The launch needs neither construction nor new headcount: the hardware is off the shelf and the guest installs nothing. €2 500 to launch, €800 a month for the platform (800 guest accounts with a smartphone and 10 active guests included) and €8 per additional active guest per stay — whatever the length of the stay (the price line by line). The next hotel changes its treatment list, its brand and its trails — not the engine.
See the portal from the inside: the demo is open without registration — the same guest dashboard and the same staff panel that run at Hotel Prezident. Want it on your own treatments and your own numbers? Book a demonstration: we will show the desk, the doctor's panel and the guest dashboard on the example of your hotel.

What exactly was rolled out
A branded guest portal (white-label). A dashboard in the hotel's colours and logo; opens in the phone's browser from a QR code, nothing to install.
Garmin watches with the hotel's watch face. Handed out for the stay; sleep, heart rate, HRV, stress and Body Battery arrive in the guest's dashboard over the hotel's Wi-Fi on their own.
Longevity programs made of the hotel's treatments. Saunas, baths, massages and the drinking cure arranged into day-by-day protocols — with the effect visible on before-and-after charts.
Walks along the Karlovy Vary terrain trails. Voice-guided routes work fully offline and keep the guest inside their heart-rate corridor.
Nutrition. A food diary that counts calories from a photo of the dish — in the guest's language.
A staff panel. Reception and the doctor see stays, data and prescriptions; the doctor writes in their language, the guest reads in theirs.
The rollout kit: the hotel's Longevity protocol brochures, a Garmin watch with the branded watch face and the guest portal on a phone×
How the rollout went
The list of services. The hotel sent its treatments and menus — the day-by-day program protocols were assembled from them.
White-label. The portal got the hotel's colours, logo and domain; emails and reports follow the same style.
The watches. A branded watch face and a walk app carrying the hotel's name were built; the watch kit was connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi.
Staff and launch. Reception and the wellness team went through online training and were accompanied through the first real stays.
Why ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend the hotel
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is optimization for AI answers: making a page not just rank in a search engine but get cited in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity responses. An assistant builds its answer from public pages it trusts — and recommends the hotels that have a clear, structured story on the web.
The platform gave the hotel exactly that content layer:
a personal website for the hotel's Longevity program — with SEO markup, direct answers and structured data;
the branded apps' pages in the Garmin Connect IQ store — independent proof the program exists;
wiki articles about the programs and methods — material assistants find easy to cite.

Questions and answers
Does the guest need to install an app? No: the portal opens in the phone's browser from a QR code on the reception card (how it works).
What if the guest has no watch? The hotel hands out a Garmin watch kit for the stay; a guest with just a smartphone uses the portal for free.
Is this a medical service? No. The platform is classified as Wellness & Lifestyle Intelligence — lifestyle support, not diagnostics (more).
