The stay calendar: day, week, month and what is on in town

One list for everyone

The calendar assembles nothing of its own. It is the fifth reader of one schedule: water servings, procedures, messages from the doctor. The same list is turned by the watch face, leafed through by the walk app, raised by the reminders at 30, 20 and 10 minutes, and printed on the morning sheet.

It is built that way so the wrist and the phone cannot show different things. A schedule assembled separately in the calendar would part company with the watch on the first day a doctor moved a procedure.

A procedure has a time

A procedure used to carry only a part of the day — «morning» — and printing «09:00» would have been an invention. Now each has a time: the start of the slot plus half an hour per session.

This layout is temporary. When the hotel has a real treatment-department timetable, one place changes, and the watch, the reminders and the calendar pick up the new time by themselves — they read one list.

A month is a ribbon of days, not a grid

All three views — day, week, month — are the same list of day cards differing only in how many days they hold. A month of little squares is unreadable on a phone, while a day card reads the same in all three views.

Days already lived are grey. The week starts on Monday (Garmin starts on Sunday — that habit was not taken). There is no year view at all: a stay lasts a fortnight.

The calendar leafs anywhere — the fences of the stay have been taken off it. Arrival and departure dates now only colour the days instead of hiding the rest: outside a running cure you can see the servings that were recorded, because a closed cure's schedule is plans while its servings are what happened.

What is on in town

Under the day's events sits «What's on in town» — the concerts, tours and exhibitions of Karlovy Vary for that day, with the walking distance and the price. «Details» leads to the town's own site.

The listing is not invented by the portal: these are the facts of the town calendar — time, place, price. The karlovyvary.info landing site lives off the same tree of data.

Stays

«Stays» is a section of its own — the same calendar, but for every previous visit. Stays are not stored as records; they are assembled from the desk's journal (kit issued → extended → returned), and whatever is not in the journal is recovered from the measured days themselves by the gap between them.

The start date stands in the address, so last March opens from a link. A day of a stay unfolds into that day's full page — with all the rings and the report (how).

Nothing is deleted at check-out: «Erase all records» at the desk clears the kit and the Garmin account, not your own portal record (what exactly is erased).

How this works for a person

In the morning you open «Calendar» and see today: 07:30 a glass from spring six, 09:00 the dry CO₂ bath, 11:00 the gas injections, another glass in the evening. In the evening you leaf forward and know what time to get up tomorrow.

The phone will remind you of a procedure by itself — half an hour, twenty minutes and ten minutes before — if you let it.

What reception does

The desk sets the dates of the stay, and the calendar colours its days by them. The dates live on the guest and not on the kit — which is why the calendar survives handing the watch back and works for a guest wearing their own.

Procedures are put in the schedule by the doctor (or confirmed there when a guest's request is given a date and a time — how); the water is prescribed by the doctor too (the cure).
