Half of the guests arrive wearing their own — another maker's watch, a ring, a band. Asking them to take it off and put on the hotel's would be foolish: they have worn theirs for years, and their personal baseline is recorded in exactly that device.
So the portal has two pipes. The first is the hotel's kit (how it works). The second is your own device: the page at `#/devices`, whose address the desk writes on a card.

What there will not be
This has to be said plainly, because disappointment costs more than a sale. With your own device there will be no hotel watch face with the night's pulse, no day ribbon on the wrist and no water reminders on the watch — all of that is done by our own app, and it is installed only on the kit's watches.
What there will be: the whole account, the calendar, the drinking cure, the procedures, the programmes, walks with the voice, and the daily report. The programme works; some of the numbers simply come from elsewhere, or not at all.
The portal does not copy another maker's interface and draws nothing on another maker's watch.
A walk without a watch
A guest with only a phone walks a route exactly the same way: the map guides, the voice calls the turns, the portal records the track. There is no pulse in such a recording — the phone does not measure it — and the screen says so instead of drawing a dash.
In the reading of such a walk an honest note appears: «this walk could have told you more», with a list of what was missing. A guest with a kit is never shown it: offering to rent what is already on their wrist is a way of losing trust (more).
How this works for a person
You open `#/devices`, link your own Garmin account — and the next day your nights stand in the portal beside the doctor's prescriptions. Nothing to put on or take off.
With no watch of your own at all, everything still works except the wrist: the water, the procedures and the routes are all carried by the phone.
What reception does
The desk creates an account for such a guest and keeps them in its own folder — «guest's phone» or «own device», depending on what they wear (the folders). No kit is issued, but the dates of the stay are still set: the calendar and the stay statistics live off them.
If the guest changes their mind and takes a kit, the desk moves them across in one motion — and the password they chose themselves is kept.
