Programme 10 of the longevity resort: contrast heat, salt steam and oxygen train the barrier immunity, while six numbers from the night keep the dose in check.

Hardening is the one resort programme where benefit and harm sit on the same scale: the same temperature stimulus, overdosed, works the other way. So the programme does not rely on «tests at the end» — it relies on six numbers the watch takes every night and every morning.
Four of the six have a threshold in the hotel's rules, and the doctor can move it in the admin panel: the platform does not hide the figure in code. Respiration has no threshold of its own — it is read by the doctor and goes into the morning sheet as context, not as a flag.
| Marker | What it says during hardening | Default threshold | What follows from it |
|---|---|---|---|
| HRV, ms (night heart rate variability) | How well the autonomic nervous system takes the temperature stimulus. Holding inside the guest's own corridor or rising means the adaptation is working | A drop of 15 % against the guest's own average (adjustable between 5 % and 40 %) | A strain flag: today's heat is removed from the plan, the walk is shortened |
| Resting heart rate, bpm | The early sign that the heat load has outgrown the guest's adaptive capacity, or that inflammation is starting | A rise of 5 bpm against the guest's own stay average (2–15) | The same strain flag; three days in a row adds a «review the programme» line |
| Respiration, breaths per minute | The state of the bronchial tree and nasal breathing: it shows what the inhalations and the oxygen are doing | No threshold — the number is read by the doctor | Goes into the morning sheet and the state-by-state view as context for a complaint |
| SpO₂, % (blood oxygen saturation) | The barrier function of breathing. At rest it usually sits at 95–100 %; below 90 % the portal counts it as low | 90 % for the night; repeated — 2 nights in a row | A safety fuse: not a prescription but a «show this to the doctor before today's treatments» line |
| Sleep score, points | The night in which the recovery from the heat load actually happens | Below 60 points, or shorter than 6 hours | An evening-protocol hint in the sheet; sleep is worth 25 points out of 100 in the readiness score |
| Body Battery, points | The day's energy reserve: heat sessions spend it faster than a walk does | Below 40 points by the morning | A strain flag; the reserve is worth 30 points out of 100 in the readiness score — more than any other component |

The guest installs nothing: they scan a QR code at the desk and open the portal in the phone browser. The doctor opens the same address on a monitor — the same page, wider, with the section column on the left (how signing in works).
The first page carries the day's rings, «Today's report» with a readiness figure and the state-by-state breakdown. For the demo guest in the screenshot that is 48 out of 100 and the line «Rest — the doctor decides»: variability is 33 ms, 19.9 % under their own 41.2 ms, and the night's lowest oxygen is 88 % against a threshold of 90 %. For a hardening programme this is exactly the day when the sauna comes off and the conversation with the doctor happens before the treatments, not after.
One rule matters on that screen: every number carries its own date. Sleep, HRV, respiration and oxygen belong to the night just past, while steps, stress, calories and the energy reserve build up from midnight. A doctor reading them as one snapshot gets the wrong picture — and the portal says so on the page itself (the first page explained).

Diagnostics in this programme do not compete with treatments for slots: the skeleton places them itself and the slots are filled by the core. That makes the schedule predictable from guest to guest — here it is in full, with durations from the treatment catalogue.
For a guest over 60 the skeleton adds an ECG on day one. Blood is scheduled for day two, but the plan says it honestly: the exact day is set by the reception desk, because the nurse works to her own rota.
| Day | What the skeleton places | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1, arrival | Medical examination (30 min), drinking cure prescription (15 min) | No treatments at all on the arrival day. The examination settles the programme's main question: may this guest have heat and cold |
| Day 2, diagnostic | Blood laboratory panel (15 min for the draw), InBody body composition analysis with a consultation (30 min) | The reference point of the stay. The core starts the same day: inhalation, pool, sauna world in the evening |
| Day 6, mid-course | Interim doctor's consultation (20 min) | Placed in stays from ten days: by mid-course it is already visible how the nights answer the heat |
| Day 9, the day before departure | Repeat InBody (30 min) | So that the closing conversation has two numbers and not one |
| Day 10, departure | Closing consultation (20 min) | The departure day is morning only: the treatment rooms manage until noon, after that the guest has a suitcase |

The core of the programme is seven items and the extras are five more; the frequencies in the table are weekly, and the engine spreads them across the days itself, keeping the gaps between sessions and the limit of one demanding treatment a day.
Two core items — sauna world and the pool — cost nothing: they are included in the stay. That is why the thermal core does not get more expensive as it gets larger, while the paid part rests on diagnostics and balneology.
| Treatment | Frequency | Duration and price | Why it is in this programme |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sauna world (bio, Finnish, salt, steam) | 3 times a week | 60 min, included | The main temperature stimulus of the course. The first item the night loop removes when the strain shows |
| Cryo-hydrotherapy | 2 times a week | 10 min, 620 CZK | The cold contrast to the heat. The only demanding item of the programme — scheduled in the morning and never on consecutive days |
| Mineral water inhalation | 3 times a week | 10 min, 250 CZK | Moistening the upper airway lining and draining the bronchi: work on the very barrier the programme trains |
| Iodine-bromine bath | 2 times a week | 20 min, 650 CZK | Gentle balneology between the heat days: trace elements through the skin without a thermal load |
| Oxygen therapy | 2 times a week | 50 min, 550 CZK | The item the course falls back on when the morning carries flags: it gives breathing work without loading thermoregulation |
| Nordic walking (guided) | 4 times a week | 60 min, 350 CZK | Aerobic ventilation of the lungs on the pine wellness trails and the weekly Zone 2 minutes |
| Swimming pool | 4 times a week | 60 min, included | General hydrodynamic work and gentle hardening by water |
| H₂ hydrogen therapy | up to 2 times a week | 30 min, 550 CZK | An extra: oxidative stress after a run of heat days |
| Pearl bath | up to 2 times a week | 15 min, 600 CZK | First in the swap row when a demanding treatment has to become a calm one |
| Foot whirlpool bath | up to 2 times a week | 15 min, 550 CZK | Local hydrotherapy without systemic overheating: it fits a day with a low energy reserve |
| Classical massage | 1 time a week | 20 min, 650 CZK (50 min — 1,150 CZK) | Recovery between the demanding days |
| Hydroxeur massage bath | 1 time a week | 15 min, 600 CZK | Gentle hydrotherapy on a heavy day |
The table below is a working one: on the left is what the portal sees in the markers, on the right is what the course answers with. It describes the logic of a prescription, not an automation: paid items are placed by the doctor.
| What the markers show | What goes into the plan | Mechanism |
|---|---|---|
| Shallow, frequent breathing; the guest reports frequent colds | Inhalations 3 times a week, oxygen therapy twice, Nordic walking four times | Moistening the mucosa and draining the bronchi, plus respiratory muscle work on the trail: the upper airway barrier only works while it is moist |
| Blood oxygen below 90 % overnight | Nothing is placed: a «show this to the doctor» line before today's treatments | This is a fuse, not a prescription. Two low nights in a row are marked separately — a thermal load is not prescribed over unexplained hypoxia |
| HRV under the guest's own corridor, resting pulse above the usual | Sauna world is removed from today, the walk is 30 % shorter, and a demanding item gives way to oxygen or a calm bath | The temperature stimulus is postponed by a day: the autonomic system needs that day to bring variability back into the corridor |
| Sleep score below 60 points, short nights | Hydrogen therapy, classical massage, the pool in the second half of the day | Calm items instead of hot ones: the night after a sauna is shorter, and the course would be working against itself |
| Body Battery does not charge by morning | Foot whirlpool bath, Hydroxeur, a shorter walk | Local hydrotherapy without systemic overheating keeps the reserve for tomorrow's heat day |

Three things run every day and take no treatment slots: the table, the drinking cure and the walk. The table for this programme is the regular one — hardening does not ask for restriction, it asks for resource.
The drinking cure is three servings of mineral water of 150 ml each, 15–30 minutes before a meal, thirty servings over ten days: the classic Karlovy Vary order of the day, water first and food after (how the drinking cure works).
The walk is 480 minutes over ten days, about 50 minutes a day on a category II trail with a target of 8,000 steps. The portal leads it: the route line on the map, turns by voice and the heart rate corridor on the watch (how the corridor works).
The guest marks contraindications in the questionnaire, and the doctor corrects them at the day-one examination. A treatment carrying a marked flag never enters the plan: the portal does not argue with a restriction and does not offer to «try it carefully». In a hardening programme this rule bites harder than in its neighbours: two thirds of the core carry cardiac flags.
Hardening is controlled stress, and the portal watches it at night. No earlier than 06:00 the night just past is compared against the guest's own average (their own corridor needs at least two days to build), and the morning sheet receives the flags: resting pulse above the usual, variability below it, Body Battery not charged, sleep debt, accumulated load.
The boundary of authority was set by the platform's owner: what is free and our own the portal changes itself, what is paid it proposes to the doctor (the thresholds and flags in full).
The plan is built for the whole length of the stay at once: days, slots, minutes and price. A ten-day Immune Reboot is 7 diagnostic items, 27 treatment sessions, 10 walks over 480 minutes and 30 servings of mineral water.
The treatment part is 16,340 CZK (≈ 654 EUR). The largest lines: two doctor's consultations 2,200 CZK, the entry examination 2,000, two InBody analyses 2,000, five Nordic walks 1,750, the blood panel 1,500, two iodine-bromine baths 1,300, two cryo-hydrotherapies 1,240, two oxygen sessions 1,100. Sauna world four times and the pool six times are included. Accommodation is counted separately, from 2,900 CZK a night in a standard room; the city tax of 50 CZK per person over 18 per night is paid at the reception desk.
The portal also shows the share of each longevity pillar: heart and vessels — 29 %, metabolism — 19 %, stress and sleep — 17 %, muscles and joints — 14 %, immunity — 12 %, digestion and the drinking cure — 9 %. The immunity share is small on purpose: shares are counted by sessions, and the daily walk and drinking cure pull towards the heart and the gut. The five-day minimum of the course is 3 diagnostic items, 13 sessions, 230 minutes of walking and 7,270 CZK.
